Green Beans Coffee greets returning airport travelers with a new bakery section by their Dallas-based sister baking concept Whisk & Bowl

San Rafael, CA – Green Beans Coffee, who have remained open at most airport locations during the pandemic to serve essential staff, are unveiling their brand new bakery and breakfast section by Whisk & Bowl®. The European-inspired, Texas-based bakery brand who opened two retail locations at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in 2019, will provide all North American Green Beans Coffee locations a new selection of pastries, muffins, cupcakes, pastries and breakfast wraps and sandwiches.

Green Beans Coffee, one of the first coffee concepts to offer “breakfast all day” in addition to an indulgent pastry selection, will roll out the new Whisk & Bowl bakery section in July as air travel ramps back up after the pandemic lockdowns, “Hot, fresh and ready to be savored”.

“Whisk & Bowl is a step above in regards to ingredients, taste profile and presentation and we’re thrilled to welcome airport employees, flight crews and travelers back with a new, elevated bakery and breakfast section,” said Preston Stohs, Director of Retail Operations for Green Beans Coffee.

Since opening last year at DFW, Whisk & Bowl’s Le Cordon Bleu-trained executive chef Rebecca Willis has impressed with modern twists on local Dallas favorites like sweet and savory kolaches, and indulgent pastry and breakfast options.

Earlier this year GBC opened SFO T3, and is currently in their build-out phase for a new location at BNA airport.

The Wait Is Over: Green Beans Launches Highly-Anticipated K-Cup Coffee Pods On Amazon Store!

The Wait Is Over: Green Beans Launches Highly-Anticipated K-Cup Coffee Pods On Amazon Store! 1500 1072 Greg Rabbitt

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Beginning this week Green Beans will launch their new K-Cup Coffee Pod line with their signature House Blend flavor. The Pods will be available in 12-count and 50-count sizes on the Green Beans Coffee Amazon store, with more flavors to follow in the coming months.

A major differentiator for the Green Beans Coffee Pods is the higher actual coffee content in the Pods themselves, boasting 13 grams per Pod, versus most other K-Cups on the market which have between 9 and 11 grams. Green Beans’ signature House Blend is a combination of handpicked beans from South America roasted at two different roast levels: half of the beans are roasted to a caramel medium roast then blended with beans that have been roasted to a deep, dark French Roast.

In addition, in keeping with Green Beans Coffee’s commitment to sustainability the Pods themselves are #5 recyclable and the packaging for both sizes is made from recycled materials.

Green Beans Coffee will launch the new K-Cup line with a series of  “snackable” social media recipe videos. Similar to the video campaigns supporting their Cold Brew Home Brew Packets and their Spiced Chai, the K-Cup campaign will show how to make signature Green Beans café drinks at home, as well some elevated K-Cup coffee creations, like the affogato, Keto Coffee, and Vietnamese Cinnamon Iced Coffee.

“The convenience of most K-Cups on the market is offset by the weak flavor. They just don’t hold enough product in the pod to offer flavor profile and richness you’d normally get from drip or brewed coffee,” said Chief Operating Officer Brian Laliberte. “We worked really hard to pack as much coffee into each pod as possible; 3 more grams of coffee per pod than most K-Cups on the market. With our House Blend K-Cups, Green Beans Coffee drinkers get the convenience of a K-Cup AND the same full, rich flavor they’d get from our ground coffee.”

Green Beans Coffee will be quick to take advantage of the versatility and convenience of their new Coffee Pod product line, donating bulk K-Cups and brewers to the Red Cross at Walter Reed Military Hospital with whom they’ve been working during the COVID-19 pandemic. “A lot of essential workers, nurses, and doctors only have a minute or two for a cup of coffee and the convenience and speed of the K-Cups serves them perfectly.” Laliberte said.

San Rafael, CA – In 2008 Green Beans Coffee launched Cup of Joe For a Joe, allowing Americans to buy Service Members deployed overseas their next cup of coffee, and send a personal message right from their computer or mobile device- and get a message back! Now in its 12th year with over 2 million cups of coffee and messages delivered, Cup of Joe For a Joe will allow gifters to round up their $2.50 COJ purchase, or donate an amount of their choice to The American Red Cross at Walter Reed National Military Hospital to help in their fight against the coronavirus.

“This is an all-hands-on-deck moment,” said Jason Araghi, co-founder and CEO of Green Beans Coffee. “As a company, our first action was to ensure the safety of our team members, both corporate and on-location at our cafés around the world. Many companies are stepping up and finding ways to help in the fight against COVID-19.”

“Because supporting America’s Service Members is deeply ingrained in our corporate DNA, we reached out to the American Red Cross at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to see what they needed. In addition to allowing online customers to round up their Cup of Joe For a Joe and Coffee Card purchases, we will be donating a portion of the profits from our Amazon store to Walter Reed as well.”

“Finally, 20 years and 10 million cups of coffee served to American Service Members in combat zones around the world have taught us how a hot cup of coffee can make a difference in someone’s day. We’re sending ground coffee and supplies to Walter Reed to help keep everyone going. We’re in this together, and we’re only going to get through it if we work together. We’re honored to do our part.”
