San Rafael, CA – In 2008 Green Beans Coffee launched Cup of Joe For a Joe, allowing Americans to buy Service Members deployed overseas their next cup of coffee, and send a personal message right from their computer or mobile device- and get a message back! Now in its 12th year with over 2 million cups of coffee and messages delivered, Cup of Joe For a Joe will allow gifters to round up their $2.50 COJ purchase, or donate an amount of their choice to The American Red Cross at Walter Reed National Military Hospital to help in their fight against the coronavirus.

“This is an all-hands-on-deck moment,” said Jason Araghi, co-founder and CEO of Green Beans Coffee. “As a company, our first action was to ensure the safety of our team members, both corporate and on-location at our cafés around the world. Many companies are stepping up and finding ways to help in the fight against COVID-19.”

“Because supporting America’s Service Members is deeply ingrained in our corporate DNA, we reached out to the American Red Cross at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to see what they needed. In addition to allowing online customers to round up their Cup of Joe For a Joe and Coffee Card purchases, we will be donating a portion of the profits from our Amazon store to Walter Reed as well.”

“Finally, 20 years and 10 million cups of coffee served to American Service Members in combat zones around the world have taught us how a hot cup of coffee can make a difference in someone’s day. We’re sending ground coffee and supplies to Walter Reed to help keep everyone going. We’re in this together, and we’re only going to get through it if we work together. We’re honored to do our part.”
