Pronto is excited to welcome local purveyor Indian Bento to their SFO Terminal 3 marketplace. Indian Bento creates ready-to-eat Bombay street food-inspired Indian delights with an upscale twist. Founded in 2009 in San Francisco, Indian Bento is extremely sought-after in corporate commissaries, serving their diverse, imaginative Indian meals at UCSF, Linkedin, Walmart, Zygna, Yelp, Salesforce, and at grocers like Rainbow Grocery and Good Eggs. Pronto will offer SFO travelers three of Indian Bento’s most popular meals: the Saag Paneer Roti, the Chana Masala Roti, and the Pea & Potato Roti.
Indian Bento is the passion project of Cathay Pacific Airways purser-turned-entrepreneur Pashmina Ochani. Ms Ochani, who left her native Mumbai when it was still called Bombay, would embark on a 14-year career with the airline, traveling the world serving first class meals to passengers, and exploring the culinary wonders wherever her job took her. Once she was based in Hong Kong, her regular route brought her to SFO, where she fell in love with the city of San Francisco- and her future husband. In 2009 Ms Ochani left Cathay Pacific and launched Indian Bento, marrying the bold flavors and approachability of Bombay street food with an upscale Silicon Valley sensibility, and fitting it all into a ready-to-eat package bursting with deliciousness.
She gained notoriety- and clients- by famously riffing on her recipes to suit the tastes of her guests, adding elements that resonate with their palette while remaining true to the spirit of the original dish. It’s this ability to anticipate her customers’- culinary desires that has made Indian Bento the corporate favorite it is today. Now, having served over 1,000,000 meals and operating out of a 10,000 sq ft commercial kitchen, Indian Bento brings the same youthful energy to Pronto at SFO T3 that it has brought to the commissaries of Fortune 100 companies for almost two decades.

Pronto in Terminal 3 is the first of three Pronto locations Elevate Gourmet Brands will open at SFO. Another Terminal 3 location is planned to open in fall 2023, and a third location is planned for Terminal 1 in 2024.
